Curated by our specialists

Trips we keep coming back to

Every departure is capped at twelve guests and led by someone who lives there. Prices are per person, flights from London included.

Why Wayfarer

Fewer places, more time in each of them.

We plan the way we travel: two or three bases instead of eight hotels, a guide who grew up there, and a free afternoon every couple of days. Then we stay on the phone until you are home.

38 destination specialists Average 11 years on the ground

Fully protected

Every flight-inclusive trip is financially protected, and your deposit sits in an audited trust account until you travel.

Specialists who've been

The person planning your trip has done it, usually more than once. Ask them where they ate.

Twelve guests, never more

Small enough for the family-run places and the boat that only takes fourteen. Solo travellers pay no supplement.

Lighter by design

Rail where it's possible, locally owned stays, and a measured carbon budget for every itinerary we publish.

Postcards from past travellers

Kenji met us off the train in Kyoto with umbrellas and a list of where he'd eat that night. Every hotel felt like someone's favourite. We have already booked Peru.
Hannah Okafor Japan in the slow season · Nov 2025
Our flight to Nairobi was cancelled at midnight. By the time we'd found our bags there was a text with a new routing, a hotel, and an apology from the camp. That's what you pay for.
Graham Whitlock Masai Mara migration · Aug 2025
I travelled solo and never once felt like the spare seat. Ten of us, a cabin each, and the aurora on the third night. I still have the group chat.
